Out of the Cold

Thornhill United Church participates in the Mosaic InterFaith Out of the Cold program (www.miotc.ca).

For ten Friday evenings and nights in the winter, from mid-January to late March , the Thornhill United Church auditorium and classrooms are transformed into a shelter for those who are homeless or not financially able to make ends meet. Guests are provided with a place to sleep safely, wholesome food, clothing, medical care, a packed lunch, and entertainment. 

Many guests face challenges that are not immediately obvious. We try to provide a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.
