This Sunday is Pentecost, the birthday of the Church - when the Holy spirit descended upon the apostles, empowering them to proclaim the Good News to all nations in every tongue. God's Spirit unites, renews and sends us forth as one body to serve the world.
We continue to celebrate Asian Heritage Month in a presentation during the Welcome and News by Morgan Lu about his early life in Taiwan, immigration to Canada and then finding his church home here at Thornhill United Church.

About Us
Everyone is welcome at our church!
Sunday worship services start at 10:30 a.m. (10:00 a.m. during the summer) and include Sunday School for children during the school year (during the summer, activity packs are provided for children to work on during the service. Come and join us for fellowship, music and song, prayer and thought-provoking messages. Think about participating in one of our outreach activities, like Out of the Cold or the Christmas Assistance Program. There is something for everyone at Thornhill United Church.
We are located at the corner of Elgin St. and Dudley Ave., one block east of Yonge St. and one block south of John St. in the heart of Thornhill. We can be accessed off Dudley Ave. and have ample parking. Our building entrance is at street level with no stairs or ramps for those requiring wheelchairs or other mobility aids. In addition, the interior includes an elevator providing easy access to all three levels of the building.
