Givings

Thornhill United Church is grateful for your financial support, which can be provided by one of the following methods:

Pre-Authorized Remittance

With pre-authorized remittance, you can designate a specific dollar amount to be deducted from your bank account or credit card each month. This payment method can be initiated by completing our PAR Authorization Form and submitting it to our church office along with a voided cheque.

E-Transfer

Electronic transfers can be made directly to our bank account. Use online banking or your banking app to send a transfer to treasurer@thornhillunitedchurch.ca. In the message section, be sure to provide your name and address for tax receipt purposes, and indicate the fund(s) that you want your donation to go towards. If you do not stipulate a fund or funds, your donation will be directed to our General Fund. If you wish your donation to be made in memory of someone, please include that information in the message section as well.  We are not charged a fee for e-transfers, but depending on your banking plan, you may incur a fee for this service.

If you are new to e-transfers, please check your financial institution's website for information on how to take advantage of this functionality.

Cheque

Cheques (payable to Thornhill United Church) can be submitted at the church during Sunday worship or during weekday office hours, or can be mailed to us at:

Please provide your name and mailing address with your payment so we can provide you with a tax receipt, and indicate where you would like your donation allocated (General Fund, Mission & Service Fund, Capital Expenditure, etc.). If you do not stipulate a fund, your donation will be directed to our General Fund.  If you wish your donation to be made in memory of someone, please include that information with your cheque.

Thank you for supporting us. Tax receipts will be provided in February of the year following the donation (for example, donations made in December 2023 will receive a tax receipt in February 2024, while donations made in January 2024 will receive a tax receipt in February 2025).
